Hand in your "Simple Algorithm" assignment (in hard copy) to the purple "hand in" folder on the middle table.
Note: If you are using a different computer than yesterday, you may have to make a new shortcut to the HandOut/HandIn folders.
Coding starts today!
Our introduction to computer science is over, and now we will start learning some real code!
We will be using Visual Basic 6.0 for this course. Yes, this is an older version of Visual Basic, but it is an excellent platform for learning the basics of coding. To open the program, search "Visual Basic 6" in the start search bar, and click on "Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0"
Get out your notes:
Computer Science 20s - Go into the Hand Outs folder, open "Notes" and find these documents: "VB6 Notes", "Quick Reference Guide for Visual Basic", and "Good Programming Style and Habits"
Computer Science 30s - Go into the Hand Outs folder, open "VB" and then "Notes" and find these documents: "VB6 Notes", "Quick Reference Guide for Visual Basic", and "Good Programming Style and Habits"
I will go through a couple of examples, and show you where to find your first practice and first assignment.
